RegenTec was
established in 2001 and is based at BioCity
Nottingham, UK. The company is a spin-off from Professor
Kevin Shakesheff’s internationally renowned research
team at the University
of Nottingham.
In recent years, Professor Shakesheff has been awarded
the Hanson Medal, Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great
Britain Conference Medal, and was named in the MIT Technology
Review 2002 list of the World’s Top 100 Young
Innovators. The company has been awarded prestigious
grants under the BBSRC SBRI, Framework
6, DTI Technology Programme and Smart award schemes.
The company is managed by a commercially experienced
board of directors with broad pharmaceutical and biotech
expertise. The scientific direction of the company is
further supported by its Clinical Advisory Board.
